This Thursday at 11:00 AM in the Sherman Center, we are honored to welcome Dr. Brent Strawn as our guest speaker.

Dr. Strawn is an engaging and highly respected scholar of the Old Testament, with a particular focus on the artistry and imagery of Scripture. He has taught at Asbury Theological Seminary and Emory University and now serves as the D. Moody Smith Distinguished Professor of Old Testament and Professor of Law at Duke University. In addition to his academic work, he is an ordained elder in the United Methodist Church and a frequent media commentator on biblical and religious topics.

His message, “We Are God’s Poem…and So Is the Bible!”, promises to be both insightful and inspiring.

Adding to the occasion, we will begin chapel with a special musical offering from DWU’s Treble Choir—a big thank you to Dr. Desmond and the choir for sharing their gifts!
